Add Media to an Explainer Chapter

Explainer Chapters consist of two or more videos, including a looping background video and a video for each Question added.

Upload a Loop Video

In Explainer Chapters, a looped video plays adjacent to the list of questions.

If you haven't set a video for your Chapter, you will be prompted to select one. You can directly click the "Select Media" button overlaid over the Chapter area.

Alternatively, you can click the “Select Video” button under "Loop Video" in the “Explainer Chapter Settings” pane on the right.

The Media Library modal will open. From here you can either select a video that’s already been uploaded or press the “Upload Media” button to upload a file from your computer.

Video Format

For best results, use videos that have a 16x9 ratio, such as standard High Definition which is 1,920 pixels wide by 1,080 pixels high. Verse accepts almost all video formats.

For best results, avoid using video with important content close to the edges of the frame. Also, having at least 10 seconds of video for playback works best.

Edit the Video's Focal Point

To change the video’s focal point, click on “Edit Focal Point” under "Loop Video" in "Explainer Chapter Settings".

The “Configure Video” modal will appear. Drag the red crosshairs to the area that you want as the center of the image. The changes will then update, and the image will be repositioned accordingly.

Mute Loop Audio

In most instances you’ll want to select “Mute Loop Audio” so that sound is turned off on your looping video.
